Amazing Knights in Dinan – Fete de Ramparts

This summer again sees the medieval town of Dinan stage the biannual event of Fete de Ramparts.
Since 1983 Dinan has turned it’s ramparts of the city walls into a celebration of all things medieval. Jousting Knights, music and dance attract thousands of visitors. 12th century equestrian games and archery entertain the crowds, whilst concerts take place in the cathedral. The streets are full with stalls showing medieval skills including tannery, arts and crafts and old fashioned cider making. The festival closes with a mighty procession. Musicians, comedians and knights in armour mingle with the crowds dressed in traditional costume, bringing the medieval towns past alive.
